Downtown Trolley Historic Redevelopment Tours
(NOTE: For the purposes on consolidation, this tour is being combined with the Trolley History Tour.)
Catalyst projects are important for any economic development effort; Canon City is no different. This tour showcases three historic preservation projects that show not only an investment in our community but a commitment to the future growth of Historic Canon City. Tour stops include: The historic Fremont County National Bank building; now the corporate offices of Tezak Heavy Equipment; The historic Hotel St. Cloud, built in Silvercliff, CO in 1883 and moved to Canon City in 1887; and the historic Mount St. Scholastica Academy planned redevelopment project.

Hike/Bike the beautiful Arkansas Riverwalk Trail
Bring your bike, rent one from Red Canyon Cycles, or slip on some comfortable walking shoes to experience the peaceful beauty of the Arkansas Riverwalk and Centennial Park minutes from downtown. Or if you prefer, dip your feet in the cool running waters of the Arkansas River. This self-guided tour will take you along the lifeblood of Southern Colorado, the Arkansas River. See some of the whitewater park improvements near Centennial Park, explore the beauty of the Royal Gorge on the Tunnel Drive trail, or visit the secluded peace of John Griffin Park. Return downtown to catch a ride up to Tech Night Out and dinner at Whitewater Bar & Grill.

Come explore his collaboration with FEDC AgSTART and Vitalscape Design LLC to create a sustainability-focused Regeneration Lodge. This tour explores Joe's aspiration to create a permaculture-based, low-impact, energy-efficient, sustainability experience so people can explore how to make a better planet through hands-on, experiential education.

Watertower Place is the site of the largest re-development project in Southern Colorado. The 250,000 sq ft space was previously home to a state of the art meat processing plant that fed the Steel City. After sitting vacant for 40 years, Ryan McWilliams purchased the property and is transforming the space into an innovation hub unlike anything you have seen.

Tour will start in the Firehouse Entrance (closest to gate) and will only showcase the businesses housed on the first floor.

Community bike rides every Thursday night over the summer that highlight the sights and sounds of Pueblo. All ages and skill levels are encouraged to come enjoy Pueblo by bike with us. We are currently meeting at Walter’s Brewery and Taproom.

The routes of bike ride leave between 6:15-6:30 pm. The bike ride tonight will be a loop around the historic Roselawn Cemetery.
